According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, a 32-year-old male has passed away after a gunshot that took place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada, on Saturday.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were sent to the hotel at 8:08 a.m. local time after hearing allegations of an active shooter, and the first officer arrived three minutes later.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office automatically received a mutual help request simultaneously.

Authorities reported finding one man victim within the structure at the Center bar with a gunshot wound to the head.
Omar Reyes Garcia, the victim, was transferred to a local hospital, where he eventually passed away, according to the police.
After a description of the suspect and his car, police made two arrests in relation to the incident.

Arrests Made in Connection to Highway 50 Incident
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office detained Edgar Julian Delgado, 24, for open murder on Highway 50, and the California Highway Patrol detained Savannah Racquel Tautaupale, 26, for DUI, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, both have been put into the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office jail in South Lake, California. On Saturday afternoon, there was no word on either person’s forthcoming court dates or potential legal counsel.
Dan Coverley, the sheriff of Douglas County, issued a statement saying, “I would want to thank all of the agencies who responded to support the DCSO.” “Our relationships with the neighboring jurisdictions are still outstanding. I also want to thank the Hard Rock Casino for your assistance and prompt response.
The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe expressed its sympathies and commended law officers for their actions in a statement.
“The team at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe is devastated and our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the victim,” the statement read. “We are extremely grateful to our security team and local law enforcement for their swift action to apprehend the suspect within minutes of this occurrence ensuring the safety of all of our team members and guests. Grief counselors are on site, and we’d like to request any follow up questions be directed to Douglas County Police Department as this is an active investigation.”
