In Indianapolis, a toddler has been shot three times in one day.
Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 4100 block of South Post Road, close to Northeastern Avenue, around 10 p.m. for a report of a person shot.
According to IMPD, when police arrived they discovered a toddler who had been shot. When cops arrived, the child, who is reportedly 10 years old, was awake and breathing. They were later sent to a neighborhood hospital.
According to IMPD, early evidence suggests that the toddler was accidentally shot.
Detectives from Night Watch and the IMPD’s aggravated assault unit are on the scene.
