Police in Indiana said that a 1-year-old kid was fatally shot in an apartment by his 5-year-old brother.
At about 3 p.m. local time on Tuesday, the Lafayette Police Department got a complaint of a gunshot at an apartment building.
The toddler was shot by his five-year-old sister, who was able to get a handgun in the residence, investigators with the Lafayette Police Department found, according to a statement.

Police said that a pistol was used.
According to Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello, an autopsy was carried out on Wednesday, and the initial cause of death was determined to be a single gunshot wound.
Isiah Johnson, 16 months old, was the victim, according to the coroner.
There are currently no new developments in the inquiry, according to the police.
Lafayette Capt. Brian Phillips told ABC News on Wednesday that “our department is still actively looking into this.”
Around 60 miles to the northwest of Indianapolis sits Lafayette.
