With the conclusion of Apex Legends Season 15: Eclipse and the imminent release of Season 16, anticipation for the new season’s content have reached a fever pitch. Players are curious about who the new legend will be, what cosmetics will be available in the upcoming battle pass, and what alterations will be made to the game in the future.
We don’t know all the answers, but we have assembled a collection of info about the upcoming season’s content (both proven facts and speculation based on leaks), and we’ll update it as we find it. This is all the information we have about Season 16 of Apex Legends.
When Will Apex Legends Season 16 Be Released?
Season 16: Revelry, Apex’s next battle pass, will begin on February 14, 2023, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.
A New Legend Has Risen In Season 16 of Apex
The Revelry clip backs up claims made by data miners and content makers that a brand-new legend was not planned for Season 16. For the first time ever, an Apex Legends season will be released without a new legend to accompany it (but don’t worry, the creators still have plenty up their sleeves for the season).
Even if this seems implausible, it very well may be the case. As of last May, Respawn has admitted that it may delay or spread out future Legend updates. This might be a good thing even if it slows down the preseason excitement. Many players would like it because it would free up time and resources for the Apex team to work on other aspects of the game that still require fixing, such as the audio, the next-gen console optimization, and the cross-progression systems.

New Battle Royale Game Mode Featuring AI-Controlled “Bots” for Apex Legends
For newcomers to Apex Legends, the creators have stated that the game’s 16th season will incorporate the usage of bots as part of the player pool in Battle Royale. The Latest Developments In Season 16 of Apex Legends
Given that the release date for Season 16 of Apex Legends is slated for February 14 (the day of love), many are speculating that a special Valentine’s Day event will serve as the season’s grand opening. Apex Legends has already had similar Valentine’s Day-themed events, so this wouldn’t be the first one.
A “Date Night” Duos mode may make an appearance for the 2023 Valentine’s Day event, as suggested by a screenshot leak from Reddit user sAmdong71. Together with your Duo, you’d be able to use an area-of-effect healing mechanic, and the special event weapon, The Heart Stealer, would be available for use during this mode.
Season 16 of Apex Legends will feature the next Anniversary Event. The Season 16 Anniversary Event’s contents and release date are currently unknown, however, speculation has focused on what new cosmetics might be included.
