BP Gas Station Shooting in East Kansas City Leaves Child Injured and 4 Others Dead

On Friday night in Kansas City, Missouri, a shooting at a BP gas station left five people hurt, among them a kid.

Just before 8:30 p.m., a gunshot took place at the convenience shop at Prospect Avenue and East 35th Street.

The incident left one guy dead and injured three women, as well as a young child under the age of five.

According to KCPD Capt. Corey Carlisle, the infant, and the three women both had injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.

Police were called to the scene after hearing guns fired. A tumultuous situation was discovered by responding officers.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he ultimately passed away.

A woman was treated on the spot, another was sent to a hospital nearby, and a third eventually arrived at a hospital on her own.

Following the incident, the kid also showed up at a local hospital.

According to Carlisle, no suspect was taken into custody right away.

What precipitated the violence wasn’t immediately apparent.
