Retired Utah optometrist Terry Sanderson is suing Gwyneth Paltrow for allegedly hitting him when they were both on skis at Deer Valley Resort in February 2016.
Paltrow’s husband and children are expected to testify at her trial, which began on March 21, 2023.
Sanderson is requesting more than $3.1 million in damages for his claimed irreversible brain impairment and other losses. Paltrow has filed a countersuit, claiming that Sanderson hit her from behind and is trying to take advantage of her fame and fortune, both of which Sanderson denies. On March 30, 2023, the trial is projected to wrap up.
