Sunrise said on Friday that Brave Universe Sworgrader, a new manga that will begin publication at the end of July, will be added to the Brave robot brand. The manga’s illustrations and character designs are done by Shir Tsunashima, and the narrative is written by Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Uky Kodachi. Sunrise will create an animated commercial featuring the manga’s theme song.
The original work is credited to Hajime Yatate (a pen name used by Sunrise workers). The original draft is credited to Yoshitomo Yonetani, who is also overseeing the project with Atsuhiro Tomioka’s assistance. Character design for the animated film is being done by Yuka Aono (Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion The Animation).

The mechanical design is being handled by Toshinao Miyauchi of SD Gundam World Heroes and Kunio Okawara of Mobile Suit Gundam. St.Dynazenon’s Hiroki Mutaguchi is in charge of the mechanical layout of the animation. Shiranui Pro is working with Hobby Japan on the production and editing.
The theme song for the video, “Ashita no Yki ni Hi wa Noboru” (The Sun Rises on Tomorrow’s Bravery), which has lyrics by Yonetani and music by Toshiyuki Watanabe, will be performed by Nami Tamaki.
A “Volume 0” manga and the promotional movie will be distributed to visitors of The King of Braves: GaoGaiGar 25th Anniversary Commemorative Exhibition at Seibushibuyaten Movidakan in Tokyo.
The Brave King GaoGaiGar Final OVA sequel, which in turn served as inspiration for the Brave King GaoGaiGar Final Grand Glorious Gathering television anime, retells the OVA’s story with a different resolution, was born from the 1997 television anime GaoGaiGar: King of the Braves, a part of Sunrise’s Brave Saga series. The series was published in North America by Media Blasters.
