Marvel Fans Are Speculating About Carol Danvers’ Marriage After New Merch Release

Marvel Fans Are Speculating About Carol Danvers' Marriage After New Merch Release

Merchandise for the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, The Marvels, seems to indicate that Captain Marvel will be getting married.

The Direct reports that on Twitter, a list of new McDonald’s toys based on The Marvels was leaked. Considering that one of Captain Marvel’s toys is named “Princess Carol,” we can assume that Carol Danvers will be marrying Prince Yan (Park Seo-joon), in the future film.

The plot of Captain Marvel #9, published in 2014, in which Marvel assists a rock star mutant in breaking free from an arranged marriage to Prince Yan, may be adapted for The Marvels. However, it appears that Captain Marvel will be the one set up with Prince Yan as a spouse.

In December 2022, it was announced that Park had been cast as Prince Yan, the ruler of a musical world where all of the inhabitants are required to sing in order to communicate with one another, in the upcoming Marvels film.

Based on the McDonald’s toy list, it appears that Park will be portraying Prince Yan and that he will be married to Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel.

The narratives of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in 2019, Monica Rambeau/Photon (Teyonah Parris) in 2021, and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in 2022 will all be continued in The Marvels, which will act as a sequel to three MCU projects.

The Marvels, the next MCU feature starring Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, will take place after the events of the Secret Invasion limited series on Disney+. When one of the heroes utilizes their powers, Carol, Monica, and Kamala switch places, and Fury works with them to figure out why.

The roles of Kamala’s older brother Aamir, mother Muneeba, and father Yusuf are reprised by Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur in The Marvels. Actor Zawe Ashton will play the film’s antagonist, the Kree warrior Dar-Benn, who is armed with an Accuser’s hammer.

It’s also been claimed that Lashana Lynch and Randall Park, who previously played Maria Rambeu and Jimmy Woo in MCU media, respectively, will reprise their roles. Gary Lewis, Jessica Zhou, and Colin Stoneley also star. Other cast members include Daniel Ings, Shamier Anderson, Ffion Jolly, Caroline Simonnet, Abraham Popoola, and Ffion Jolly.

Nia DeCosta, along with Megan McDonnell, Elissa Karasik, and Zeb Wells, directed The Marvels from a screenplay they developed together. The release date for the Phase 5 MCU movie is set for November 10.
