Chris Anthony Martin, better known by his legal name, The oldest child of Zimbabwean music teacher Alison Martin and former chartered accountant Anthony John Martin, John Martin was born on March 2, 1977, in Exeter, Devon, England. In 1999, his father sold his grandfather John Besley Martin’s caravan and motorhome sales company, Martin’s of Exeter, to a worker.
Chris began his schooling at the pre-preparatory Hylton School and afterward continued at Exeter Cathedral School, a preparatory institution. Chris developed a passion for music at this point. Later, he went to Dorset’s Sherborne School.

He purchased a 6.5-acre property in 2018 for $4.45 million, where the 99-seat Malibu Playhouse is located, and a 3000-square-foot ranch home in Malibu Park for $3.7 million. In 2019, Martin also spent $5.48 million on a beachfront home in Malibu.
