Constance Labbé, Camille Lou, and Claire Romain have been cast in the live-action French version of Tsukasa Hojo’s Cat’s Eye manga, the French television network TF1 announced last week.
There will be eight 52-minute episodes in the series. The events in the series will occur in the year 2023. Beginning in the fall, production will begin.

The series is being produced by the French channel TF1, according to a March story in the Le Parisien daily. The show is being directed by Alexandre Laurent, while Big Band Story is in charge of the production.
The authors are Sophie Maurer, Coline Dussaud, Justine Kim-Gautier, Antonin Martin-Hilbert, Anne-Charlotte Kassab, and Michel Catz. The series would air on TF1 during prime time, according to the article. The series is being released internationally by the TF1 Group-owned Newen Studios’ European distributor Newen Connect.
Three sisters who operate a cafe during the day and are infamous art thieves at night are the main characters in Hojo’s Cat’s Eye manga. The manga, which ran from 1981 to 1985, served as the basis for two Tokyo Movie Shinsha television anime seasons. Between 1983 and 1984, the first 36-episode season aired, and between 1984 and 1985, the second 37-episode season aired.

The new endeavor honors both the 40th anniversary of Cat’s Eye and the 50th anniversary of the Lupin III anime.
The live-action French adaptation of Hojo’s City Hunter manga, Nicky Larson et le Parfum de Cupidon (Nicky Larson and the Cupid’s Purfume), debuted in France in February 2019.
