Get One of the Biggest Games of the Year for Free at GameStop

You may profit from the meme stock phenomenon even though GameStop is a broken corporation that treats its employees poorly. You can save a lot of money by purchasing old copies of some of 2023’s most popular games, including Diablo IV, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, thanks to a current “buy two, get one free” promotion.

I mention them because they are among the most well-regarded and costly games of the year, costing $70 apiece. While supplies last, you can get all three games for just $130 at GameStop instead of $195 by purchasing used versions of them for $65 apiece. That’s a lot of cash up front, but the three games you bought will keep you occupied well into next year.

Kataku confirms the news on its official Twitter account:

Save Big at GameStop!

In addition to these newly released and evergreen titles, the deal also includes:

  • Final Fantasy XVI
  • Street Fighter 6
  • Dead Island 2
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II
  • God of War Ragnarök
  • Elden Ring
  • Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
  • Metroid Dread
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  • Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

This Super Mario Bros. Movie-themed Switch bundle includes Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and it will save you $55. You can also get Resident Evil 4, God of War Ragnarök, and the remastered version of The Last of Us: Part I for only $105. Of course, you can still find bargains for dated products on the inexpensive end.

Used copies of Grand Theft Auto 5, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Deathloop can be purchased for twenty dollars.

GameStop’s Freebies: A Great Way to Save Money on Games

GameStop has a history of selling used games at steep discounts since the company generates more money from reselling old games than it does from selling new ones. As more and more people buy games digitally and GameStop stocks its shelves with memorabilia like Funko Pops, the company’s contentious strategy is increasingly becoming a relic of the past.

However, the freebies are a fantastic way to save money as corporations continue to increase game pricing due to continued inflation for as long as the company remains in business.

Fix as of 6:01 PM ET on June 30, 2023: The original graph no longer incorrectly implied a buy-one-get-two offer. We apologize for the confusion.
