Time Of Scars Above’s Publication And Available Mediums

The anticipated release date for Scars Above is next Tuesday, February 28. Scars Above hopes to stand out in the first quarter of 2023, which is already packed with games like Hogwarts Legacy, Wild Hearts, Destiny 2: Lightfall, and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.

The game is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Although there is no listing on the Epic Games Store, anyone who intends to play it on PC will have to do so only through Steam upon release.

During Gamescom 2022, we got our hands on Scars Above, and we subsequently named it one of the best games we saw there. We found the game outstanding in every way, from the high quality of the visuals (we played it on PS5) to the depth of the gameplay.

Everything from the standard shooting mechanics to the more complex elemental combat and the level design influenced by Metroidvania’s “come back here when you’ve found a certain item” motif.

We were only able to sample a short portion of the game, but what we did get was enough to have us excited about the full release, which thankfully won’t be too far off.

Scars Above is a brutal third-person science fiction action adventure shooter with an intriguing and rich tale set in a mysterious alien environment to explore.

Shocking the entire planet, a gigantic alien structure called “The Metahedron” suddenly arrives in Earth’s orbit. Scientists and engineers from the Sentient Contact Assessment and Response (SCAR) team have been dispatched to the scene.

As things unfold, the Metahedron transports the crew to an unknown extrasolar planet. Taking in the role of Dr. Kate Ward, a member of SCAR, you find yourself in a hazy state, all by yourself, in a dangerous place. You’re dead intent on making it, so you set out to find your team and figure out what’s happening.
