Season 4 adds a new Tier-2 Black Mous faction objective, Icebreaker DMZ, to Warzone 2. As the Season changes, so do the missions, giving each DMZ faction fresh objectives to accomplish.
As part of the Icebreaker objective, you must travel to the Phalanx dead drop at the University after retrieving a letter of introduction and a tracker from the Zoo dead drop on the Vondel map. Seems complicated? The steps to finishing the Icebreaker DMZ assignment in Warzone 2 are outlined here.
How To Complete Icebreaker DMZ Mission in Warzone 2 Season 4?
- Get the router and paperwork from the Zoo POI drop box.
- Place the goods in the Vondel dead drop at the University.
Playing in Vondel is essential at this time. This is a completely new level included in Warzone 2 Season 4 that provides a unique challenge in a setting that resembles Verdansk. Most of the newly assigned DMZ missions, such as the Black Mous’ Icebreaker, take place in this sector.
As a mission of Tier 2 difficulty, all you have to do is travel between two points on the Vondel map. Your first order of business is to travel to the address listed above. Find a dumpster, which is a dead end, once you get there. To access its contents, simply press the nearby interaction button and put it in your backpack. The introduction letter and a tracker are in this dead drop.

The Phalanx’s dead drop can be found at the aforementioned spot. The Vondel location labeled as the University is misleading. Still, this is the correct location for the University’s drop box. For the upcoming DMZ missions, having access to these dead drops is essential. Now that you’ve arrived, simply deposit the stuff in the dead drop.
DMZ’s New Reputation System Offers Players More Ways to Progress
Previously, there was just one path to advance through DMZ’s faction levels and gain access to each faction’s story quests. This approach was a big grind with ever more challenging objectives. The new reputation system introduced in Season 4 provides players with alternate routes to the story assignments.
Gaining this standing is a reward for completing critical or faction missions.
