iPhone 14 Pro And iPhone 14 Pro Max: Apple’s iPhone 14 selection is unusual in a year with so many new smartphone releases. The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are the peaks of Apple’s product line in terms of aesthetics, functionality, and technology. In a strange turn of events, the screens of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max are starting to flash in horizontal lines. Apple has finally acknowledged the problem and disclosed that a fix is in development.
According to a leaked Apple document obtained by MacRumors and confirmed by me, the tech giant acknowledges that “users may report that when they turn on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen.”
Importantly, Apple “is aware of the issue and a software update is due soon that will remedy the issue,” indicating that the recall was not caused by a hardware flaw.
As soon as what, exactly? iOS 16.3, which is presently in beta testing, would seem to be the most likely candidate, although this doesn’t seem plausible for various reasons. Although we’re now on the second public beta of this significant update, Apple usually releases four to six betas plus a “Release Candidate” before a full public release. This means that iOS 16.3 probably won’t be released until late February at the earliest.
