In less than a month, audiences will be able to see John Wick 4, or John Wick: Chapter 4, starring Keanu Reeves as the hitman.
In February 2023, it was reported that the fourth movie in the blockbuster action franchise clocks in at a hefty 169 minutes. The two hours and 49 minutes is an increase of 30 minutes above the longest previous expedition.
Originally we thought that we were definitely getting two more John Wick movies, with 4 and 5 being filmed back t0 back. In any case, Reeves has changed his tune and now says the success of Chapter 4 will determine whether or not there will be a fifth film.

John Wick 4 Release Date
John Wick: Chapter 4 was originally planned to visit theatres on May 21, 2021, however because of the COVID-19 pandemic—as well as Reeves’ scheduling conflicts with The Matrix: Resurrections—the premiere date was pushed back a year to May 27, 2022. The new date is March 24, 2023.

With that release date only weeks away, we hope that’s an indication that there will be no further delays.
From June to October of 2021, filming took place, and a wrapped gift hinted that the film’s subtitle would be Hagakure, a reference to Japanese literature from the 1700s, although the film itself does not have a subtitle.
It was originally planned that filming for both the fourth and fifth movies would occur simultaneously, but due to production delays on the fourth film, that schedule had to be adjusted.
There has been no official confirmation of a John Wick 5, but if the fourth film does well at the box office, there is a good chance that a fifth installment will be made.
Trailer For John Wick 4
The John Wick 4 official trailer was released on the 10th of November, 2022, and you can see it in its entirety in this very article. The teaser gives us a glimpse of our favorite assassin in action and introduces us to some new faces, as well as the return of some old favorites.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the first trailer for John Wick 4 was shown. The teaser clip depicts a rejuvenated John preparing for battle against the High Table and warns us that not even John Wick can eliminate all threats.
On February 16, 2023, the final trailer was released. Keep an eye out for Scott Adkins who looks nothing like himself:
Cast of John Wick 4
John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves, will return. Without the lead actor, this franchise would flounder. Hotel manager and one of John Wick’s few allies, Winston Scott (Ian McShane), returns in this installment as well. John Wick 4 updates have revealed that a number of notable actors will be reprising their roles in the upcoming fourth installment.
After being abandoned by the High Table, Laurence Fishburne returns as Wick’s patron, The Bowery King. Charon, the hotel concierge in New York’s Continental Hotel, is played once again by Lance Reddick.
In addition to returning cast members, Bill Skarsgard joins the cast as the Marquis de Gramont, a member of the High Table whom John Wick challenges. A close buddy of John Wick’s is the blind High Table assassin Donnie Yen, an icon of martial arts action cinema.
Two more martial arts veterans also joined the movie with Hiroyuki Sanada and Scott Adkins. In the film, Marko Zaror plays the villainous Marquis de Gramont’s, right-hand man. Halle Berry’s character, Sofia, will not be returning to the film. A fan of Wynonna Earp, Shamier Anderson, makes her debut, as does Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama.
Clancy Brown, like the rest of the newcomers, has been given a prominent part. His reputation as an imposing presence will no doubt be utilized in the next fourth film. To most people, Brown will always be recognized as Kurgan from Highlander or as the voice of Lex Luthor from the DC animated shows of the ’90s.
Brown interestingly revealed that his part will shed light on the High Table. He also said that the sequences he’s in are genuinely action-oriented and that it would give insight into “the type of subtleties of that authority structure,” alluding to the High Table.

Story About John Wick 4
According to the latest information about John Wick 4, the plot of the upcoming film will begin directly where the third film left off. As a result, John Wick was no longer under the scrutiny or supervision of The High Table. After what appeared to be Winston shooting him off a rooftop and into the street, the High Table assumed he was dead. But, he was taken in by The Bowery
King cared for him until he recovered. The new film is set in the same universe as the original, but it will delve more deeply into the legends and myths surrounding The High Table and its assassins. However, filmmaker Chad Stahelski has warned that there would be no happy ending.
Assassin John Wick visited Rome in the first film, then went to Casablanca in the third film while on some sort of bizarre mythological quest in the desert. In fact, it appears that the series’ penchant for international travel has been ratcheted up a notch or three with the release of the fourth film.
Shooting for Chapter 4 took place in Japan, Germany, and France, so it appears like viewers will get to witness a Continental Hotel in each of those nations. The film’s dramatically disparate settings will make it feel new, and it sounds like it will add to the series’ excellent world-building.
