His agents have announced that Lance Reddick, star of John Wick and The Wire, has passed away at the age of 60.
As reported by his publicist, the American actor passed away on Friday morning, March 17th. He portrayed Charon in all four of Keanu Reeves’ John Wick movies, the most recent of which is set to open in the United Kingdom this week.
He had a long and successful acting career, including prominent parts in shows like Resident Evil on Netflix and The Wire on HBO. Very well-received were Reddick’s voice acting parts in the games Destiny, Destiny 2, Horizon: Zero Dawn, and Horizon: Forbidden West, all of which were released between 2020 and 2022.
Reddick had finished many press interviews for John Wick 4 before his untimely passing. Reeves and John Wick director Chad Stahelski released a joint statement praising Reeves as a “consummate professional” to American media.

RIP Lance Reddick. One of my favourite actors and the only person to ever scare Eric Andre. Always gave the performance of his life in anything he was in from John Wick to The Wire to Fringe. He will be dearly missed pic.twitter.com/k5bg33zyHT
