Based on Michael Connolly’s best-selling legal thrillers, Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer is now available online. The second half of the season premiered on August 3, bringing to a close the serialized plot in which defense attorney Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) defended chef Lisa Trammell (Lana Parilla), who was accused of murdering a real estate developer. Haller was pitted against prosecutor Andy Freeman (Yaya DaCosta).
Fans of The Lincoln Lawyer may be left wondering what happens to Mickey and his towncar after the gripping Season 2 finale, ending Lisa’s case. Here is all we know about the show’s trajectory moving forward.
Is the Lincoln Lawyer’s Third Season in the Works?
Netflix is likely waiting to see how Season 2 Part 2 performs regarding viewership before deciding whether or not to greenlight a third season. The Lincoln Lawyer book series may only have six volumes, but there is plenty of material for more books.
What Will Happen in the Third Season?
The second Mickey Haller story, “The Reversal,” served as the basis for the show’s first season. Season 2 was based on book 3 in the series, The Fifth Witness (the first novel, The Lincoln Lawyer, was filmed with Matthew McConaughey).
Season 3’s plot would presumably be taken from the fourth book in the series if it were to be made. In The Gods of Guilt, Mickey gets a text message from a former customer who needs his aid in escaping a difficult situation, which Mickey may have unwittingly helped create.
The Lincoln Lawyer season 3 Cast Members?
All of the regulars, including Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Mickey Haller), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), Neve Campbell (Maggie), and Becki Newton (Lorna), would be back if the show were revived.
