The genre of female protagonists wielding firearms is underrepresented in anime. Black Lagoon and Ghost in the Shell are the only other notable additions, but Lycoris Recoil’s offbeat approach to the genre has propelled it to the forefront of contemporary popularity. Even though the anime has just recently concluded airing, the demand for Lycoris Recoil: Season 2 has skyrocketed thanks to the show’s flawless blend of color, action, and emotions.
A-1 Pictures, the studio responsible for the anime, has acknowledged the show’s success and confirmed that a sequel is in production. Even though they haven’t said for sure that it’s Lycoris Recoil: Season 2, you can rest assured that the anime will continue.
When Will the Second Season of Lycoris Recoil Be Available?
There is currently no set date for Season 2 of Lycoris Recoil. We have received a preview of what’s to come in the anime from A-1 Pictures. It’s still not obvious if it’s a new season, a movie, or an OVA, but sooner or later, we’ll find out.
Despite competition from shows like Call of the Night and Classroom of the Elite: Season 2, Lycoris Recoil nevertheless managed to dominate the charts during the summer of 2022. This success makes the announcement of a sequel not surprising. We haven’t seen the last of the show by a long shot, but finding out what that is could take a while.
What Happens in Lycoris Recoil Season 2? Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead
You won’t believe it, but A-1 Pictures and the mangakas Spider Lily and Asaura have created an original tale for the anime. Since Lycoris Recoil: Season 2 isn’t based on manga like most anime, we have no idea where the story is going.
If the teaser trailer is any indication, the upcoming season will likely center on Takina and Chisato. If the tagline, “The story of the two will never end,” is any indication, the two main LycoReco girls will be in for an emotional roller coaster.
Where Did Lycoris Recoil 2 Become Made?
A-1 Pictures will produce the second season of Lycoris Recoil. The anime is an in-house creation, drawn from scratch and animated from scratch. Several mangaka and illustrators have contributed to the project, but A-1 Pictures is the studio in charge.

Darling in the Franxx, Occult Academy, and Anohana are just a few of the more than 200 anime projects produced by the studio throughout the years. A new Lycoris Recoil anime is in the works, and it’s one of the few times the studio has decided to continue an original tale past the first season.

When and Where Can You Catch Lycoris Recoil, Season 2?
Lycoris Recoil, Season 2 will be available on Crunchyroll after it has finished broadcasting. In addition, the first season of the anime can only be viewed on Crunchyroll. The show is also available on Netflix, but only to people in Japan at this time.
The limited availability is worrisome, but the second season will be easy to obtain on Crunchyroll, a massive service accessible pretty much anywhere.
