New Pokémon Horizons Manga Spinoff Takes a Lighthearted Look at the Series

Pocket Monster Yorimichi Volteccers!! (Pokémon Detouring Volt Tacklers!!) by Rikka Kise, based on the new Pokémon Horizons: The Series anime, will debut in the magazine’s next issue on August 3, according to the August issue of Shogakukan’s Ciao magazine. It will be a humorous manga.

On Monday, Kahori Orito also announced via Twitter that the final chapter of their Pocket Monster manga, “Liko no Takaramono” (Pocket Monster “Liko’s Treasure”), was released in the same issue. Earlier this year, on May 2, the manga debuted.

The first episode of the anime aired as a one-hour special on April 14. At 6:55 p.m. on Fridays, the program airs. The Pokémon Company earlier announced in an English press release that the anime would debut in 2023 “and beyond.”

The tweet below confirms the news:

The anime follows Liko and Roy, two brand-new dual characters. The video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet’s Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in Shiny form, are all included in the anime. Friede and Captain Pikachu, a Pokémon professor, and his Pokémon partner, are new characters in the anime who will fight alongside Liko and Roy.
