The anime adaptation of One Piece is rapidly approaching the conclusion of the Wano Country Arc, and the creative team behind it has been hinting at some of the key developments still to come.
All the last battles across Onigashima have come to their explosive conclusions in the most recent episodes of the One Piece anime, and now Luffy is bearing the weight of it all as he faces Kaido on the roof of the Skull Dome. Their battle has reached a fresh conclusion in the most recent episode, leaving little to explore from the original One Piece manga by Eiichiro Oda.
In an interview with ComicBook.com’s Megan Peters at Anime Expo 2023 this past summer, the One Piece anime crew teased that they have some tricks up their sleeves for the arc’s final episodes, saying, “Wano is reaching its apex. We can’t wait to see Luffy take on Kaido. I have several devious plots in the works. So there will be something exciting for the fans to anticipate.
Luffy’s Next Great Form Teased
With Luffy’s recent loss at Kaido’s hands in the latest episode of the One Piece anime, and the creators of the series already dropping subtle hints about Luffy’s next great form, the series’ conclusion can’t be far off. However, as of this writing, a premiere date for the concluding episodes of the Wano Country arc has not been announced.
Crunchyroll presently has all 1000+ episodes of the Japanese language with English subtitled iteration of One Piece streaming, so you can catch up on the anime before Wano’s grand conclusion, which is likely to come later this Summer.

The latest episodes of the English dub of One Piece are also available to watch online. Crunchyroll gives a sneak peek at the One Piece anime by saying, “Monkey D. Luffy refuses to let anyone or anything stand in the way of his quest to become the king of all pirates.”
