Rob began skating at the age of 11, just at the peak of the sport’s popularity in the ’90s. Rob Dyrdek’s mother, Patty, took him to skateparks in and around Dayton, Ohio, when he was a kid, despite the fact that skating was still in its infancy at the time.

Rob’s professional skating career began when he was just 12 years old when he landed his first sponsor. At the age of 16, he and Neil Blender established Alien Workshop, a skateboard manufacturing firm. Rob left his high school behind and moved to Southern California in order to follow his dreams.

Twenty-five professional street skaters compete for cash prizes in Rob Dyrdek’s Street League Skateboarding. With a total prize fund of $1.6 million, this is the largest skating competition ever held. New skateparks were built all around California thanks to a joint effort between the League and the Boys Club of America.

In California, Rob signed his first large endorsement deal with DC Shoes. From 1995 to 2016, he was a crucial influence in their advertising. Rob’s involvement was crucial to the development and growth of the firm as a respected skating label. The agreement also helped boost Rob Dyrdek’s wealth at an early stage in his career.

A royalty arrangement for Dyrdek’s designs was established with DC Shoes around this period. The success of DC Skateboarding is often attributed to Rob Dyrdek, who is credited with introducing the brand to the skating business. Rob’s input was important in the development of the DC headquarters’ The Street Plaza.

Dyrdek’s legacy will continue on through Street League Skateboarding, but he made significantly more money with DC Shoes. Dyrdek stated in an interview with Complex that his annual salary from DC began at $50,000 and increased to $300,000 over the course of their 20-year association.

Rob Dyrdek’s Real Estate Portfolio: A Look at His $25 Million+ Holdings

Rob’s property holdings are worth tens of millions of dollars. The skateboarder-turned-entertainer-turned-entrepreneur has three homes in Mulholland Estates, a posh Hollywood Hills enclave with a breathtaking panorama of Beverly Hills.

The billionaire spent at least $25 million on these three buildings. Rob invested a lot of money in making the houses more to his liking, so they are quite spectacular. His record of home purchases in California goes back many years, but his current holdings are quite remarkable.

In 2008, Rob bought a home in the Mount Olympus neighborhood for more than $2.5 million. The home, perched on a hill with a view of Laurel Canyon, fetched $2.125 million in November 2012. When Drydek sold the residence, he, unfortunately, lost $334,000.

Dyrdek sold his four-bedroom, three-bathroom, 3,733-square-foot home in the Laurel Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles, between Coldwater Canyon and Laurel Canyon, for $3.5 million in 2019. Even though Dyrdek’s profit was modest, he was able to avoid a loss.

The biggest property Dyrdek has ever bought was in 2015. Almost $10 million was spent by Dyrdek on a home in the exclusive Mulholland Estates community. It is on a 3.1-acre property and is the largest structure in the area.

Dyrdek had plans approved by the city to build his dream mega-mansion there, but as of now, it is just a vacant lot.

The couple, now in their early thirties, spent $6 million on a home in the same area in 2018. While his second estate is being built, he plans to reside there. His present home is a four-bedroom, 7,000-square-foot mansion.

In December 2019, Rob purchased his third property in the Mulholland Estates area, a 7,500-square-foot mansion that cost him $8.5 million.
