Before his death in 2023, American actor Robert Blake had a net worth of $3 million. As we can see, Robert’s net worth has fluctuated throughout the years, although at one point it was between $10 and $15 million. After being accused of killing his second wife, Bonnie Lee Bakley, in 2001, Robert Blake found himself in the middle of a storm of controversy.
After a lengthy trial that lasted until 2005, he was found not guilty. However, a wrongful death action was filed against Robert in California, and he was judged accountable for the financial losses the couple incurred as a result of her death.
Robert Blake had a successful acting career, with roles in films such as “In Cold Blood.” Another thing that made him famous was his role in the TV series “Baretta.” Robert began his acting career as a child star, served in the U.S. Army, and is now back in the film and television industry.

Robert was apprehended for the 2002 slaying of his wife. His personal bodyguard was also taken into custody for questioning in connection with the plot. The estate of Bonnie Lee successfully sued Blake for wrongful death in a California civil court in 2005, and the court sided with the estate.
One former stuntman and one other person came forward with allegations that Robert had attempted to recruit them to murder Robert’s wife.
The death sentence was on the table for Blake, but he entered a not-guilty plea. Robert was found not guilty after being released on bond. The prosecution had no evidence linking him to the murder weapon, and he did not have any gunpowder on him.
Several members of the public and the LA district attorney Stephen Cooley felt that the evidence was insufficient to convict him, and Cooley himself referred to the jury as “incredibly stupid” for its verdict.
However, Robert still had a ways to go. Bakley was judged responsible for his wife’s death after his three children launched a wrongful death claim against him. The original settlement amount of $30 million was reduced to $15 million after he appealed.
Robert Blake’s Financial Woes
Robert Blake declared bankruptcy in 2006, not long after being forced to pay $30 million in settlement to Bonnie Lee’s estate. He disclosed $3,000,000 in debts. The actor had a lien filed against him in 2010 for $1,110,878 in delinquent taxes owed to the state of California.
There were rumors that Robert had substantial outstanding legal fees as well. Because of these monetary concerns, Blake thought about getting back into acting. Announcing at age 85 that he felt “half-dead,” he stated that he would not be returning to Hollywood.

Robert Blake’s Studio City Home
Blake bought a house in Studio City in 1983. Many more people eventually purchased this land. He put the home on the market in 2001 for a cool million dollars. The home has approximately 5,000 square feet of area, including seven bedrooms.
After Blake posted $1.5 million bail and was released from jail in 2003, an actress named Alexandra Kingston put the home up for sale for $1.6 million. Kingston recouped $1.5 million from the sale of the home. In 2018, the famous property changed hands again, this time for $3.35 million, $400,000 over the asking price.
Nothing further is known about Robert Blake’s real estate holdings, albeit he was reportedly last seen in Plymouth, England.
