Suspect In West Hills Parking Lot Shooting Named By LAPD Leaves 1 Dead And 3 Wounded

The guy accused of shooting at a West Hills shopping center parking lot on Saturday, killing one person and wounding three others, has been named by Los Angeles police.

A $2 million bond was issued for Mark Connole, 34, of Woodland Hills, who was arrested on suspicion of murder.

According to the LAPD, the shooting took place in the 229000 block of Vanowen Street in the Fallbrook Shopping Center parking lot at 3:45 p.m.

“One of the victims had an unspecified encounter with the suspect. The perpetrator pulled out a weapon and started shooting at the victims after getting into a fight with them “said the police in a press release.

Three victims were hospitalized with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. At the site, a fourth individual passed away.

According to LAPD, the suspect fled the area in a red Honda car. An LAPD aircraft pointed officers in the direction of the car, and after a short pursuit, the subject stopped.

Connole was taken into custody without a hitch. According to the police, a handgun was found.

Police said on Saturday that the shooting was connected to a gang and included a narcotics dispute.

The victim’s name is being kept a secret until the family has been informed.

A probe is still being conducted.

The shooting happened at the shopping center on Saturday, and police are asking anybody who was there and saw it to come forward. This includes anyone who recorded smartphone footage of the confrontation before to the event or the shooting.
