Sylvester Stallone Net Worth
Sylvester Stallone has a net worth of $400 million and is a well-known American actor, screenwriter, producer, and director. When it comes to action movie actors, Sylvester Stallone is right up there with the best of them. After his meteoric rise to fame with “Rocky,” Stallone went on to become one of the highest-paid action performers of the ’80s and ’90s.
He has authored and produced several blockbuster series, such as “Rocky,” “Rambo,” and “The Expendables.” More than $4 billion has been made worldwide from Stallone films as of this writing. Unlike most A-list Hollywood actors, Sylvester has taken creative control of many of his blockbuster series.
Box office success for Stallone’s flicks includes $300 million for Rocky IV (1985), $300 million for Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), and $173 million for Creed (2015). Over $4.5 billion has been made from his films so far.
This places Stallone alongside other famous stars like Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, and Robert Downey Jr. as some of the highest-grossing actors of all time. Arnold Schwarzenegger is another legendary action movie star, with a worldwide box office total of almost $4.4 billion, just below Stallone’s total.
The Rise of Stallone: From Rocky to Rambo
Stallone wrote the script for “Rocky” in three days and received offers from numerous studios. United Artists was the frontrunner, but only if Robert Redford or James Caan would play the lead.
He persisted in badgering the movie’s producers, Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff, until they agreed to cast him. He worked on the film for a meager $23,000. That is equivalent to about $110,000 in today’s money. With only a $1 million budget, the film made $225 million worldwide.
He made $3.5 million from “First Blood” in 1982. Inflation-adjusted, his first year’s salary of $10 million (about $25 million now) and Producer credit for “Staying Alive” were both astronomical achievements. With the success of “Rhinestone” in 1984, he received $4 million and his second Producer credit.
The following year, as Producer of Rocky IV, he made $12 million. His “Over the Top” salary increased by $12 million. He made $16 million for Rambo III.

Sylvester has made his lavish estate in the exclusive Beverly Park neighborhood at the top of Beverly Hills his primary abode for the past several decades. He has a 20,000-square-foot house on his 3.5-acre lot. Eddie Murphy, Mark Wahlberg, and Denzel Washington are all in close proximity.
Prices for comparable properties have ranged recently between $40 million and $70 million. Sylvester reportedly put this mansion on the market in January 2021 for a whopping $130 million. As of August of that year (2021), he dropped the price to $85 million.
Sylvester took a 58 million dollar offer in December of 2021. Adele was the buyer, and the price paid was a record for the Beverly Park neighborhood.
Sylvester and his wife Jennifer Flavin purchased a $4.5 million La Quinta, California, mansion in January 2010. Beginning in 2014, they made multiple attempts to sell this home. They lowered the price to $3.625, 000 in 2016, but still could not sell it. They got $3.1 million for the sale of the house in May of 2020.
Sylvester spent $35.4 million buying a 1.5-acre Palm Beach, Florida, estate with a 13,000-square-foot villa in December 2020. After purchasing the home in 2018 for $26 million, the sellers made a tidy profit of about $10 million.
Sylvester spent $18.2 million on a 2.26-acre mansion in Hidden Hills, California, in February of 2022. In August 2022, it was discovered that Sly’s house was wasting an inhumane amount of water, and the news made national headlines. In May and June of 2022, the property used an extra 195,000 and 230,000 gallons of water, respectively, than what was allotted for those months.
The Stallones argued that their property’s 500 or so mature trees posed an enormous fire risk if they were allowed to dry out. The local water department threatened to install a water restriction on the Stallones’ property if they went over their allotment by 150% for four consecutive months.
