The 32nd issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine this year promises the return of Katsuhisa Minami’s The Fable manga for its concluding arc, but the publication has not yet provided a release date. Minami stated that he will only take some time to rest before going back.

On Monday, the magazine released the last chapter of Minami’s manga The Fable: The Second Contact. The manga’s eighth volume will be released by Kodansha on August 4 and its ninth and final volume on November 6.

In July 2021, Minami released the manga as a follow-up to his The Fable manga. The newest manga is the “second part” of the entire manga series.

The anime version of the original The Fable manga was also revealed in the most recent issue of the publication on Monday.

In November 2014, Minami debuted the original manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine. The series concluded in November 2019. 22 volumes make up the manga. In 2017, the series took the Best General Manga at the 41st Kodansha Awards ceremony. The Fable manga series’ distribution has surpassed 22 million copies, according to the magazine.

The series is described as follows by Kodansha USA Publishing, which is distributing the original manga in English:

When you’re the infamous “genius killer” hitman The Fable, many things come easy. Being a normal person, however, isn’t one of them. In fact, being told that he can’t kill anyone for a while may just be the hardest job he’s ever taken…

Two live-action movies based on the original manga debuted in Japan in June 2019 and June 2021, respectively.
