Gran Turismo 7 PC Version: While games like The Last of Us, God of War, and Horizon are probably the first ones that come to mind when you think about PlayStation exclusives, you’d be missing out if you didn’t mention the Gran Turismo series. Since its inception in 1997, the Gran Turismo series has become one of the most acclaimed racing simulator franchises worldwide, and it continues to be the best-selling exclusive property for the PlayStation platform. The hit series will be 25 years old in 2022, and to mark the anniversary, a fresh new entry, Gran Turismo 7, will be released.
Gran Turismo 7, the eighth core game in the series, is being marketed as a love letter to the previous GT games by taking the greatest features from each and combining them into a “culmination of the Gran Turismo series.” Given that Gran Turismo 7 could serve as both a historical look back at autos and a thrilling preview of the future of racing games, here is what we know about it so far.
The Gran Turismo 7 PC Version
The inventor of the Gran Turismo game has stated that developer Polyphony Digital is considering porting the series to PC.
Creator and Polyphony head Kazunori Yamauchi responded positively to GT Planet’s inquiry on a PC port of Gran Turismo 7 by saying, “Yes, I do think so.”
However, he did warn that porting a series famed for its technical performance to a free platform like PC was not easy. The game “Gran Turismo” is “extremely precisely adjusted,” Yamauchi remarked. Since “not many systems could run the game in 4K/60 natively,” we have to be selective about which ones we support. It’s not a simple issue, but we’re definitely giving it some thought.
Nonetheless, GT Planet notes that Gran Turismo 7 is somewhat scalable already, as it is compatible with both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Perhaps Sony will put pressure on Yamauchi to make it happen. Although Sony’s biggest exclusives like Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, Spider-Man, and Uncharted have all made the transition to PC in recent years, no Gran Turismo games have ever been playable on platforms other than PlayStation hardware.
As gamers responded negatively to the game’s miserly, slow-paced economy, which seemed to force them toward exorbitantly priced in-game purchases, Gran Turismo 7 was received with some controversy upon its release. The controversy clouded the release of an otherwise superb racing game until Yamauchi caved and tweaked it to be more forgiving.
Polyphony announced in March that Gran Turismo 7 will include the ability to sell cars for extra cash, but it wasn’t included until this week, on November 24. Previously unseen in any Gran Turismo game, the exhilarating real-world Road Atlanta track was added in Patch 1.26.

Instructions For Gran Turismo?
Gran Turismo 7 can be acquired in one of three ways. Prices range from $59.99 USD for the PS4 Standard Edition to $69.99 USD for a version compatible with both the PS4 and PS5, and $89.99 USD for the Digital Deluxe Edition, which features the original soundtrack, a one-of-a-kind Toyota GT Yaris, 1.5 million in-game currency, and custom profile avatars.
If you’re only going to use a PS4, the entry-level version is fine. The most up-to-date version, playable only on PS5, will set you back an extra ten bucks, and the Digital Deluxe Edition will only appeal to the most devoted Gran Turismo enthusiasts.
The latest iteration of Gran Turismo is set to include all the staples of its forerunners, including a wide array of stunning vehicles to pilot around the game’s different racing circuits. The seventh installment of Gran Turismo debuted on March 4, 2022. The game was expected to be available at the PlayStation 5’s debut, but it was delayed until now. Multiple game modes, ranging from fast races to prolonged seasons and networked tournaments, are available.
