The unusual at magic high school animation staff revealed on Saturday that the previously mentioned sequel will be a brand-new television anime series airing the following year. The teaser image that accompanied the teaser promotional video announcing the news was created by original character designer Kana Ishida.
The returning cast members are:
- Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba
- Yūichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba
- Kiyono Yasuno as Minami Sakurai
Jimmy Stone, a former animation director and episode director on the franchise’s earlier anime productions, is in charge of directing the new show at the reactivated 8-Bit. The music will once again be composed by Taku Iwasaki (Black Butler, Bungo Stray Dogs, Gurren Lagann).
Mahka Kk no Rettsei, a series of light novels by Satou, was first published in 2008 and ended with the 32nd book in September 2020. In January 2021 and October 2020, two sequels were released.
The original The Irregular at Magic High School light novel series and Yu Mori’s spinoff manga The Honor Student at Magic High School are both published by Yen Press.
The Outcast from Magic High School The first episode of a 26-episode TV anime series aired in April 2014. The Irregular at Magic High School: Visitor Arc, the second season, debuted on October 3 and included 13 episodes. The Girl Who Summons the Stars, a movie based on the anime series The Irregular at Magic High School, premiered in Japan in June 2017.
A 13-episode TV anime with a July 3, 2021 start date was inspired by the manga The Honor Student at Magic High School.
