Police in Anne Arundel County, Maryland said a man shot two people before turning the pistol on himself in a parking lot in Annapolis, killing three people.
According to police spokesperson Jacklyn Davis, it happened shortly after 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn on Riva Road in Annapolis.
The assailant shot a man and a woman in the parking lot before shooting himself, according to the police officers who arrived on the scene. Both the shooter and the victim passed away at the site. The second victim of the shooting managed to drive himself to a nearby store on Somerville Road, where other bystanders dialed 911. After being brought to the hospital, the man passed away.

“It was a targeted incident,” Davis claimed. “The public is not in danger because our suspect is dead.”
According to Davis, authorities are still looking into the shooting. The people’s identities have not yet been made widely known. She noted that the police must still inform the next of kin.
Amal Awad, the police chief for Anne Arundel County, told reporters that “today, we senselessly lost three individuals to gun violence in our country.” We are superior to this.
