The third installment of Venom, starring Tom Hardy, is making significant progress in production and could have a release date announcement shortly. Juno Temple, who starred in Ted Lasso, was reportedly cast recently to play the yellow symbiote Scream. Chiwetel Ejiofor, a regular in the MCU, has also been courted for a villain part.
Stephen Graham, Michelle Williams, and Reid Scott will all be back, so the cast is complete. Kelly Marcel (writer, director, and co-producer) has already completed the script, so the unusual decision to start filming so soon won’t be impacted by the ongoing strike by Hollywood screenwriters.
Sony has not yet announced when Venom 3 will be released, however, there are two possible timeframes that have been discussed.
Venom 3 Release Date
As of May 2023, we still don’t have a definitive release date for Venom 3, although 2024 is the most likely window. This is according to Tom Hardy’s announcement that filming had begun in February of 2023.
Despite the problems that Covid-19 caused with almost every movie production, the first Venom film was released in October 2018, with the second of the extraterrestrial flicks set for release in October 2021. Given this information, we can probably expect a release in October of 2024.

Speculation about Venom 3’s Cast
Tom Hardy, making his third appearance as Eddie Brock, will head the cast of Venom 3. Stephen Graham, who plays both Detective Mulligan and Toxin, is the other major player. Assuming, of course, the story goes in the direction hinted at the end of Venom 2.
Michelle Williams, who plays Anne Weying, might return, as could Reid Scott, who plays Dr. Dan Lewis, and a few other minor characters who have added some humanity to the Venom movie.
Ted Lasso star Juno Temple is reportedly also in talks to join the group, but it is unclear what part she will play.
Given that Venom devoured Woody Harrelson’s head, we don’t give him much of a chance to return, but you never know. Perhaps the scarlet symbiote will revive him. All we can do is wait and see what happens.
