A person placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold should either “be freed, sign in willingly, or be put on a 5250 hold after a 72-hour period,” according to the Los Angeles Times. The 72-hour delay will probably lead to the disclosure of Bynes’ position.

According to Sky News, the actor’s parents Lynn and Rick Bynes supported the decision to end the conservatorship.
Once the conservatorship was lifted, Bynes released a statement in which she said: “In the previous several years, I’ve worked hard to improve my health so that I can live and work freely, and I’ll continue to put my welfare first in this new phase.
“I am excited about my upcoming endeavours—including my fragrance line—and look forward to sharing more when I can.”
