Dizon, 39, said she was “excited” but “anxious” about giving birth and admitted she had hoped for a girl. Her ex-husband, Stephen Bishop, is the father of her daughter as well as her son from a previous relationship.
The actor also paid tribute to his late mother, telling her she is still “a part of all of this” when he had hoped it would have happened while she was still alive.

In the reveal video, Dizon said, “I would love a boy because my boy is easy. I could make ten copies of him, but I’m secretly hoping for a girl so we can have another baby. The reason is, I don’t want to have just one child, and I know that if I have a boy, that will be the case. The next chapter of our lives together is going to be fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

On April 20, 1970, in Oakland, California, Shemar Franklin Moore was born to Marilyn Wilson, a business consultant, and Sherrod Moore. Moore’s mother was of Irish and French-Canadian ancestry, and his African-American father was a barber. Moore attended Santa Clara University on a baseball scholarship and spent four years there as a pitcher and outfielder for the varsity team. He majored in communications and minored in theatre at the bachelor’s level.
Moore is signed with DNA Model Management in New York City, where he worked as a model during his college years. Moore appeared on the cover of Men’s Fitness in March of 2009. Moore became well-known after his role as Malcolm Winters on The Young and the Restless ran for eight years. He came back to “The Young and the Restless” in November 2004, but he left in September 2005.
Moore starred in the 2001 film The Brothers and hosted a syndicated version of Soul Train from 1999 to 2003. He portrayed Detective Jesse Reese on “Birds of Prey” for two seasons (2002–2003). Moore had supporting roles in both “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” and “Diary of a Mad Black Woman: The Movie,” and he costarred as Emery Simms with Vivica A. Fox and Golden Brooks in “Motives” (2004,).
In the romantic comedy The “Seat Filler,” he co-starred with Kelly Rowland and Duane Martin. Moore first appeared as Derek Morgan on “Criminal Minds” in the seventh episode of the first season, airing from 2005 to 2016, a total of 11 seasons and 251 episodes. Then, in 2020, he was cast in the upcoming CBS series “S.W.A.T.” In addition, he is confirmed to make an appearance as a cast member in June 2021 for Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
