Production On Hacks Season 3 Was Halted Because Of Jean Smart’s Cardiac Operation

When will the third season of the HBO show Hackers be available to watch online? The creators hope to get it out by the year 2023. Season 3 had been in production but was put on hold while Jean recovered from heart surgery.

HBO Max and Universal Television released a joint statement expressing their delight with her Instagram announcement:

“We are so happy that our beloved Jean Smart’s heart procedure was successful and she’s on the mend. HBO Max and UTV send their well wishes.”

Richard Gilliland, Jean’s husband of 71 years, died of heart disease in March of that year. Smart discussed her grief over the loss of her husband in a December 2018 interview with Rolling Stone. Her original comments were as follows:

“He made me laugh all the time. That’s going to be hard to live without. I find it almost harder now, a year and a half later, because you’re kind of running on adrenaline and grief for a while, making sure your kids are OK, just getting things done.”
