The singer, actress, and dancer may finally be settled in matrimony to longtime boyfriend Ben Affleck, but who was her previous husbands?
Several of Jennifer Lopez’s romantic relationships have made headlines, including her current one with Ben Affleck. The two were engaged from 2002 until 2004, and their relationship is often credited with sparking the “Bennifer” tabloid frenzy. In the JLo Netflix documentary, the renowned Bostonian made a cameo appearance to discuss their high-profile romance from the 2000s.
Despite that embarrassing hiccup at the Grammys, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are now legally married and apparently quite happy. When it comes to her high-profile partnerships, however, who else has JLo truly tied the knot with? J. Lo has been married many times, including to Sean “Diddy” Combs and Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez.
How Many Times Has Jennifer Lopez Been Married?
Jennifer Lopez has become a four-time bride after her July 2022 nuptials to Ben Affleck.
Before her recent wedding to Ben Affleck, Lopez addressed her marriage history, saying, “I’ve been married three times and one was nine months and once was 11 months so I don’t really consider them,” which was taken from a video posted to YouTube.
“I was married to Marc for ten years with the kids,” she stated. The first two times I attempted to get married, I was quite young. Sorry, I meant “tried to.”
She said, “It looks like in this life, like you’re constantly surrounded by people, you’re never lonely.” “But it’s really isolated. This means that companionship is essential. Somebody. Hence, I reasoned, if I got married, I’d have someone to share my life with forever. Nevertheless, reality doesn’t function like that. Not how it works, unfortunately. Getting married for that reason is a horrible idea. No, that’s not the one. A bad choice! When you discover someone who really enhances your life, that’s the one.
To answer your question, JLo has been married four times.
Who Is Jennifer Lopez Married To?
Ojani Noa, a future performer whom J.Lo met when he was working as a server at a Miami restaurant in the late ’90s, was her first spouse.
They were only married for 11 months before calling it quits in January of 1998. A permanent injunction prohibiting “critiquing, degrading, putting in a bad light, or otherwise disparaging,” as per the US, was imposed against Ojani in August 2007. The nature of their connection, if any, is otherwise unknown.
Between 2001 and 2002, J.Lo was married to dancer and choreographer Cris Judd for a brief nine months.
They met on the set of her music video, “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” which Judd directed. It was love at first sight… for him, at least. “So, when Jennifer walks in, I shake her hand and we kinda look at each other—and in my head, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to marry this woman,'” Judd told Oprah on an episode of “Where Are They Now?” Ultimately, stress from the paparazzi strained their relationship.

Lopez’s longest marriage was to Grammy-winning musician Marc Anthony, which lasted from 2004 to 2014 and produced two children, Emme and Max. They co-parent their kids and show public support for one other, so they must still get along.
“They’re still extremely close; he’s one of her biggest cheerleaders,” a source told HollywoodLife. “All he wants is for her to be happy.”
Speaking on The View in 2017, JLo also divulged, “Marc and I are good how we are right now. There’s a reason we’re not together, but we’re great friends and we’re parents together.”
The pair got married in Las Vegas surrounded by friends and family, with Jennifer confirming the news and sharing a photo dump on her website OnTheJLo. Along with her announcement, she also wrote: “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”

“Exactly what we wanted,” she added. “Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.
Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.”
After sharing more details of their “dream wedding,” she finished: “Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things—and worth waiting for.”
