Who Is Taylor Swift Dating?
Taylor Swift and actor Joe Alwyn have been together for some time now (2023). They started dating in 2016, and after keeping their relationship under wraps for many years, they came out to the world in 2018. They have been seen in public together since then and have worked together on several of Swift’s songs.
They’ve made their relationship work, and they look extremely happy together, despite both of their hectic schedules. Their devoted following is curious as to the couple’s future endeavors, both in and out of the workplace.
Unlike Swift’s notoriously criticized and well-documented past relationships, Swift and Alwyn have managed to keep their six-year romance under wraps.
As Swift kicks off her Eras Tour, a source close to hers tells People that Alwyn “will travel with her when he can.” The insider adds, “They are great together. Joe is super supportive of her career.”
In July 2019, Swift will release an album titled Lovers. The album will include the single “All of the Girls You Loved Before,” which is dedicated to Alwyn. (At the time her album came out, Swift still decided to keep her relationship private.)
Swift sings a rousing anthem to the ladies who came before her in Joe’s life, lauding them for their roles in making him the man he is now.
A New Song By Taylor About Joe Is Made Public
In a video posted to Instagram, the singer gives an interpretation of the lyrics of “Lavender Haze,” a track from her forthcoming album Midnights that deals with her relationship with Alwyn.
Taylor Swift posted a tweet on her song Lavender Haze:

The couple, like Swift’s own six-year relationship, has “had to avoid odd stories, tabloid things, and we just ignore it,” she adds. Hence, this song is about looking the other way in order to save what really matters.
Further explaining the song’s title, she says, “If you were in the lavender haze, then it meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was incredibly lovely.”

Joe Discusses Taylor Seldom
In a series of interviews spread out over the course of the month, Alwyn discusses his relationship with Swift in detail, from the couple’s rigorous privacy rules to the latest engagement rumors.
During an interview with ELLE UK, Alwyn said that he avoids talking about his connection with Swift because he wants to fight back against a society that has become more intrusive and eager for information rather than protect himself.
“It’s not really [because I] want to be guarded and private, it’s more a response to something else,” he tells the magazine. “The more you give—and frankly, even if you don’t give it—something will be taken.”
During a feature interview with WSJ. Magazine, he also indirectly addressed the engagement rumors that have been swirling about him and Taylor Swift in recent months while emphasizing their wish to keep their relationship private.
Alwyn adds, “If I had a pound for every time I believe I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I would have a lot of pound coins.” He continues, “I mean, the fact is, if the answer was yes, I wouldn’t tell, and if the answer was no, I wouldn’t say.”
Furthermore, he elaborated on his thoughts in an interview with The Guardian.
“It’s just not something I particularly care about, or have much interest in feeding,” Alwyn says of their relationship’s heavy publicity. “The more it’s fed, the more you are opening a gate for intrusion. I think that’s just my response to a culture that has this increasing expectation that everything is going to be given. If you don’t post about the way you make your coffee in the morning, or if you don’t let someone take a picture when you walk out of your front door, is that being private? I don’t know if it is. So I just don’t really feed that. If you and I were having a conversation, and having a shandy in my house, and it wasn’t being recorded, then, of course, other things would be said.”
