William Hurt, an actor, was born on March 20, 1950.
Hurt served as Vice President of the Middlesex School Theatre Club in Massachusetts when he was a kid.
He studied religion for a semester at Tufts University before deciding to pursue acting instead and going to Juilliard.
In the 1970s, after graduating from Juilliard, Hurt began performing professionally.
His first feature was the 1980 science fiction picture Altered States.
A three-time nominee for Best Actor in the 1980s, Hurt finally took home the gold for his performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985).
The actor kept working in the theater world, and in 1985 he received his first Tony Award nomination for his efforts there.
A History of Violence (2005), The Village (2004), and Robin Hood (1989) are just a few of the notable films and TV series in which Hurt has featured during the course of his extended career (2010).
In many Marvel movies, Hurt played the role of Thaddeus Ross.

Although the actor’s family said in a statement that Hurt died of natural causes, many are still inquisitive and looking for “William Hurt cause of death.”
One user even took to his Twitter handle to first pay respect to the late actor and mention that “natural causes is not a cause of death. It just means it wasn’t suicide, trauma, foul play, or an accident. Things like heart attacks, COVID, cancer, liver disease, etc…these are all natural.”

So, what actually led to Hurt’s demise? – outside of the “natural reasons” cited before by his family.
Hurt had been given a death prognosis for prostate cancer, but he seemed to be on the mend after trying some experimental therapies coming out of Berkeley that were said to be completely side-effect free.
the Lost in Space actor had terminal prostate cancer in May 2018, which ultimately spread to his bone, as reported by Deadline.
Nevertheless, TMZ has reported that a few years ago, after experimenting with novel treatment techniques in Berkeley, Hurt was on the path to reedy. The news source further said that doctors at the time claimed the therapies had no negative effects.
Speaking of the late actor’s prostate cancer journey, one Twitter user wrote, “I don’t know William Hurt’s cause of death, but I can tell you he faced his prostate cancer with intelligence and his unique posture of humanity. Everlasting inspiration. Condolences to all who loved

On the other hand, another Twitter user first paid homage to Hurt and mentioned that people shoulder’t hide their illnesses and familles shouldn’t conceal the cause of death. They also asked if it’s shameful to be ill and die of certain diseases.

The Hurts have been somewhat silent recently as they mourn the passing of their patriarch. Jeanne Bonnaire-Hurt, Alexander Devon Hurt, Samuel Hurt, and William Hurt are Hurt’s four surviving children from two separate relationships.

William Hurt’s Career In The Entertainment Industry
William Hurt began his career on stage before moving into movies. The science fiction movie Altered States was his first cinematic role.
The Big Chill, a comedy-drama from 1983, and The Accidental Tourist, a romantic drama from 1988, both featured Hurt. Kiss of the Spider Woman, a drama released in 1985, earned him both the Best Actor Academy Award and the Best Male Performance Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
In addition to Lost in Space, one of Hurt’s most notable roles was a brief appearance as mafia leader Richie Cusack in the 2005 psychological thriller A History of Violence. In the 2005 political thriller Syriana, he also portrayed a shadowy government agent.
A miniseries based on Nightmares & Dreamscapes by Stephen King starred Hurt as the assassin Renshaw.
The role of General Thaddeus Ross in The Incredible Hulk, produced by Marvel Studios, brought the actor widespread acclaim. In addition to Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, he also appeared in Black Widow and Avengers: Endgame.
The native of Washington, DC has starred in the biographical adventure drama Into the Wild (2007) and the action thriller Vantage Point (2008).
In 2009, for his work in the FX series Damages, Hurt was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Afterward, he was in the indie drama The Yellow Handkerchief in 2009 and the horror picture Hellgate in 2011.
Too Big to Fail, a 2009 HBO film, featured Hurt as former U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. In 2011, he played Captain Adam on TV’s Moby Dick, based on the classic by Herman Melville.
Before his untimely demise, Hurt had been cast in upcoming projects including the TV series Pantheon and the movies The Fence, Men of Granite, and Edward Enderby.
